Inverted pleat curtain heading

Inverted Pleat Drapery Panels

Inverted pleats can be used in many applications from the kick pleat on a bed skirt to valances as well as a beautiful modern drapery panel heading as pictured above. This style of drapery inverts the stitching of the heading from pleating in the front to pleating in the back. This gives the sought after bell shaped flow of the drapery with a clean heading. This style of drapery can be used as a functional drapery and ranges in fullness from 2-3 fullness dependent on the type of fabric the look desired and whether or not it is meant to be operated.

Inverted pleats are suitable for both heavy and sheer drapery fabrics and are generally used in more modern spaces where a soft but clean look is desired. Another great treatment to consider is Grommet Drapery, Ripple Fold or as a blind Panel Tracks and Skyline.

Inverted pleat curtains looks best when hung with decorative Drapery Hardware in a colour that complements the room although at times we have hidden the pleat under a valance box or hung it directly to the ceiling.
