Panel tracks draw inspiration from Shoji Panels which are Japanese room dividers and operate similarly to Vertical Blinds. They offer a large selection of fabrics, do not cover up large portions of the window when open and are easy to use available with a draw string, a wand or motorized.
Panel Tracks are a great solution for wide windows or wall to wall windows such as in condominiums They also make great room dividers with many blind manufacturers such as Hunter Douglas Skyline making special kits to allow them divide large rooms into multiple spaces such as in a loft style condominium. We use them extensively in downtown Toronto to cover windows like the one above, or even to act as room dividers for example in loft syle units.
Panel tracks can be used as a way to simply cover a window or wall or it can be used to add drama and structure to a space. They can also be paired with roller shades or roman shades for a coordinated finish.
